The land of the free and the home of the brave

Hello again.

It's been a while since the last update, but then it's hard to update the blog when one is stuck in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Anyhoo, we're in San Francisco for a day while the boat refuels and loads and unloads cargo - expect a full update when we get to Seattle - but in the meantime, rest assured we're still alive and updates will follow.

  • Here's an intellectual set of facts and an intellectual question for you (I actually know the answer already it's more of a test):-

If you sail really slowly in the opposite direction to the earth's rotation on a freight-boat by the laws of Einstein's relativity theory you will experience fater ageing.

Also statistics show that if you cross the equator more than 183 times in your lifetime the atoms that make up your body breakdown as the gravitational force on the electrons and protons polarises them and your body turns to anti-matter.

The question is as follows: When you arrive at you destination after travelling by aforementioned freighter-boat are you "boat lagged?" Do you feel a strong urge for a wee schleepie when you hit land?

  • I feel a strong urge to have a "wee schleepie" all the time anyway - not just especially when we hit land.
