RIP Bellevue Bill
RIP Bellevue Bill, a wee sweetie who loved his tucker and often made us smile with his friendly, gentle, inquisitive manner. Everyone at the Koala Hospital did their best to save him. I'm gutted that he's gone, but I'm happy to know that he was kept as comfortable and happy (and well fed!) as possible during his time there.
Here's to Bill!

Hi Trace & Iff,
As you say, everyone did their best at the hospital. Oxley Jo didn't make it, I'm afraid. The infection returned and it would have been heartless to continue medicating her when she'd already failed the first round and was in continuing discomfort.
We've got to remember that SO many koalas were treated successfully and released: Links Lorna, Ellenborough Nancy, Lookout Harry, Overview Terry, Sandfly Jye, Ocean Roy, Innes Tony, Morrish Steven...
And in other good news, Anna Bay Sooty is doing well and her bub is making a tentative appearance -- Cheyne saw a paw protruding from Sooty's pouch today. All I ever see is a lot of wriggling. Hopefully we'll see more of Sooty jnr before she's released.
Looks like you guys are having fun -- good on ya!
Sam
