KI - Hobart
From KI we got a bus back to Melbourne and then a ferry over to Tassie. The "Spirit of Tasmania" is a cool enough ship although the seats we got were rather similar to airline seats and were impossible to sleep in - especially when there was a bloke spewing his guts up in the same cabin - nice...
Anyway, we did finally get to Tassie and got picked up by the tour bus just after we got dropped off the ship. We did a 7 day circuit of Tasmania dropping in on Devenport, Stanley, Cradle Mountain, Strahan, Lake St Clair, Hobart, Bicheno and Launceston. We saw waterfalls, climbed moutains and trekked through rainforests (photos to follow ;-)).
Over the next week or so we'll be walking the Overland Track across 80km of Tassie's National Park, carrying tent, sleeping bags, food for 7 days, stove etc... I'll post more when we're done.
Anyway, time's almost up. More later!

9 cities in a 7 day circuit? And climbing mountains and trekked through rainforrests? Sounds a bit too action packed to be believable. Remember.....
Je me n'appelle pas Monsieur Facile a duper!
Et, en plus je me n'appelle pas Mr Credible either.
Yeah, while you guys were doing all that, I was in climbing the eiffel tower in Paris, drinking at the guiness museum in Dublin, chilling in Sau Paulo, running a market stall in Cairo and winning a bodybuilding contest in Yorkshire.
Till I have seen these much fabled pictures I shall not believe.

Tassie? What is tassie? I suppose it's like that dog - you know lassie. Or maybe you've mispelt "tattie". Although it'd have to be a big spud to require a ferry.
I think you mean Tazzie ;)

No I'm afraid it is actually Tassie - in the same way as "Aussie" is pronounced "Ozzie".
Drongo.

As a professional phoneticist I'd actually agree with the spirit of Tazz. He seems to exhibit the intelligence of deity like proportions.
I would also say that phonetically Drongo is actually pronounced "gee-nee-ous".

Hey Iff'n'Trace,
When are you going to Ascension Island? Rumour has it that the legendary Ascension Island Guest, previously believed to have died of leprosy, is in fact alive and well and has started sponsoring well known UK soccer franchise Manchester United.
Look at a picture of their strip if you don't believe me...
